After watching the translated version I was amused by the fact they told him to cook the stork for them as if they knew how good he was at cooking. Then after they died, they became the feast at the stone village after lol

lol in the novel the guy told Shi Hao to leave his arm behind and cook the swan (The novel had 鸿鹄, hongwan as swan) and one of the guys was wary of Shi Hao telling the rest to be careful as he had a strange feeling about him which was proved to be correct as he ate them and brought the rest of the meat, blood and bone to Stone village so they can strengthen the children and the village lol
If I remember correctly these guys belong to another area outside of the wastelands, they believe they were superior to the people inhabiting the wastelands, of course being beasts themselves they would think they are superior to humans, or they belonged the higher realm which sent youngster to the lower realm for life experiences before the calamity hits little do they know of Shi Hao's appetite lol

I'm actually wondering what wouldn't he eat because we've seen him eat things that once had human form. I know under certain circumstances I'd probably do the same to starve off starvation but that would only happen if there was an issue with lack of food. I could never eat dragon or unicorn meat (if they were real) though as I consider them majestic creatures.

There is an enemy that he wont eat after killing them, well actually two, one is human, the other is the underworld clan, or the undead race, they are pretty much a undead race of all types beasts and human, the first time Shi Hao killed a bunch of them he tried it and discovered that it tastes foul and ruined the rest of the good meat he had in a pot, and from then on he classified them as the most useless race to the anger and chagrin of the undead race lol

Yes, In the novel he will say much later, that he don't eat humanoid form meat after they are dead. All beast & demons mostly die in the beast form, but some had human forms, so he doesn't eat them and the undead like you said had a foul taste like spoil meat.

Yeah but it is no surprise, mind you they have speed a lot of things, even though it is following the novel, they have somewhat cut down the amount of time spent on each event and made it not so draggy, unlike Soul Land.... example the Sea God Trials.... I dont know what is it about it, I can watch them competing in the competition against other academies but I cant stand to watch the Sea God Trials lol

Personally, I didnt mind how soul land was dragging, the only thing i didnt like was that they decreased the length of the episodes because of the issues in China at the moment. Not that I can fault them for that because a persons health is more important compared to a show.

Yeah, from the last announcement from Sparkly Key Animation, they didnt mention about Soul Land or Swallowed Star, only that the situation in China has affected their branches, and they will put priorities on the well being of their staff, which is probably why no new episodes of Swallowed Star, either they are putting all available resources to Soul Land, or the team that is responsible is unable to work at all
Soul Land is very popular in China, much more than Swallowed Star, then again it's been around longer than Swallowed Star
I dont know, when i read the novel, it was pretty good during the Sea God Trials, but when it was animated, I just felt everything was draggy, might be because I feel Soul Land is getting stale, more of BTTH please!! lol

lol I know that feeling of wanting to watch something else. At the moment, I'm eager to watch more episodes of Zhu Tian Ji and Zhen Wu Dianfeng because it's at a good part in both stories and I'm interested to see what happens next. I've probably watched the season 4 specials of BTTH at least 4-5 times now due to a lack of interesting content throughout the weeks since it finished airing.

I also like that new series Peak of True Martial arts. As for Zhu Tian Ji, it has been good so far, but it is more and more starting to look like a boy love series. It's a little strange, just like scum villain or that one with the reincarnated demon lord, or the excessive brotherly love in Cried a Million Cultivators. That is getting a little odd. Especially with the spankings, really?

I'm hoping Zhu Tian Ji doesnt go the BL route but looking at how the MC is designed alongside the guy who is always following him it may do. I wouldnt say Peak of True Martial arts is a new series though, its been out for at least 15 weeks now considering its on episode 29.

From what I read on online articles about Zhu Tian Ji, the novel originally did not have a main heroine, none of the articles that I have read so far mentions BL, the donghua apparently made changes and Qiu Yuehua became the main heroine, albeit few screening time than the main character. Although not confirmed it seems the author (the novel is still ongoing) seem to have made changes to make her the main heroine

Graphically it is better than Against the Sky Supreme and the other 15 minutes episodes series, thought the colours seem a tad over contrasted, would say it is slightly below Wanmei Shijie's graphics, voice acting and seems to be done well, the motion of the character models is a lot smoother than those 15 minutes episodes, the story synopsis though... lol made me laugh so much that my stomach hurts

I dunno if that synopsis is accurate though because from what I saw there was no brothel and as I watched it with amusing translations I cant be sure if they were correct either. The translations said that the woman he was on the bed with was his wife's friend aka the bridesmaid. I doubt he even done anything with her either because of how fake she was when his father in law kicked opened the door. He was laying down as he looked ill and she was sitting on the end of the bed, so it could have been a trap to cause problems for him. As for the first woman in the white dress, that was amusing because he was about to run till he saw his wife in red. Even though the graphics arent the best, they did a nice job on his wife's eyes and it was obvious she was hurt but still tried to be kind to him to save face in front of the others.

yeah this one is great so hilarious 😂. I love it so far the animation is way more fluid then most of the other 10 min ones. as when most of them come out the animation isn't that good. till after 70 eps than it gets better and better. also alot of these 10 min-15 minute ones are just as great as the popular ones like soul land, fanren.
just as great of story lines character development action skills martial arts ect just not as good of cgi though and that is the only thing and the fight seens are just as epic. sometimes the 10 through 15 min ones are better than the 20 min ones. I agree soulland has gotten stale and I haven't even read the novel. it's been stale in everything but action since they founded the tang sect and even the action has gotten a little stale as they all keep using the same 3 moves when each of them has at least 7 soul rings and the 2 that skills look the best are tang san and fatty

Truth be told, people can never be truly sure about Chinese animation. They don't follow the rules that a season must have 12-13 / 25-26 episodes /51-52 episodes format too strictly. This is why I said I'm not so sure after what happened recently. I mean even Shanghai went into a lockdown.

Yes, they dont follow seasons, they will have 第 X 季 but the episodes will continue on like there is no seasons, which is why people get confused with the Douluo Daluo announcement when they said episode 203 will return to normal episode duration and gogoanime split the series into season 1 and 2, so we are at episode 175 season 2 but in actuality we are at episode 201

The current world Shi Hao is in is a lower realm of a multilayered realm/universe, the lower realm was and is in fact a prison, the ancestors of Stone clan, Fire clan, Rain Clan and the other various clans and beast tribes were sent to this realm as a punishment for crimes they committed, essentially condemning their descendants to the lower realm. The lower realm's Cultivation Law is also broken, it is not perfect, as such when one goes to the upper realms, their cultivation will be much weaker since the Laws are different.

The Calamity is like a purge, where the upper realms will send highly skilled cultivators to kill or capture the lower realm supreme masters (mostly to kill) So basically it is to prevent and restrict the lower realm descendants from ascending to the upper realm, and to make sure no one is powerful enough in the lower realm to challenge the upper realms. (Note, people from the lower realm can ascend to the upper realms but it needs to go through void gates that is heavily guarded by those who possesses the gates and has a relationship with the upper realms)

Not only will there be the Calamity but the upper realm will send some people to the lower realm for "life experiences" (and sometimes to select a very very few talents to go back to the upper realm) but also to spy on the lower realm (Yue Chan is one of them but it's a complicated story.... that is another spoiler for another time lol)
